This puzzle-adventure game has surprised me in a good way. Despite some details to polish, the game is pretty amusing and the challenges makes you want to try once and again.. The controls take a bit of getting used to and the radius at which enemies can see you could be a lot clearer. These are really the only two things I found to be a problem in the game, in part because the game keeps track of the number of deaths you've had and at least for me many of them came from not knowing which enemies could see what before it was too late. I played on a controller, but it might actually be best to do it with the keyboard because the controls have that tank-like RE feel to them.That aside, I really enjoyed the tension that the gameplay brought on and even with the clues laid out to how the game might end I wasn't prepared for what actually happened. The voice-acting isn't really good, but it didn't distract me from the tone of the story at all and I remained fully invested through the end. I plan to replay again to see if I can do better this time and to make sure that I found everything.I go very much recommend this game to anyone who likes tension and the need to think both before acting and on the move.. The first day at school can be stressful, especially for a blind kid. Eight-year-old Ian is happy he can bring his guide dog North along, and he will direly need him as things turn ugly during the preparations of Blue Norholm School's centenary celebration.Luckily Ian is not alone but has North and the player to help him find his way to the library, the gym, up and downstairs, the cafeteria...Hampered by tank-like controls and a rigid camera angle like in an old-school horror game, we pilot North either with or without Ian by his side.Actions in game are limited to the necessary: sneaking, running, barking, to explore every section and lure enemies away to open up the path for Ian.The tightly defined camera and controls are no real default but another means to increase the retro-ish tension through gameplay alone, adding to the macabre atmosphere visibly drawn from Tim Burton movies such as Frankenweenie.Yet don't let yourself blind by Ian's Eyes' eye-catchingly cute graphics for the game gets difficult right after the start requiring a strong learning curve to continue, and playing until the suprising end takes quite some patience plus lines to be added to the merciless death counter.Ian's Eyes can be tough, but overcoming the most difficult sections with strategy and skill is rewarding in itself for players that like mastering challenges. Ive had my eye on it for a little and was excited to play it once it was released.It's not the worst game I've ever played overall, but because of how much this game could have offered, it just hits that much harder.I'll even admit I haven't finished the game and I honestly don't have any desire to do so. I could see though that if they fix it up in the future, it could be a good game but as of right now, I wish I had that money back.The voice acting is...wow. Ian is not really that bad but the principal is just, no thanks. The controls can be stiff somethines and the camera angles definently don't do it any justice. They are all fixed angles until you move to a certain point and at times it screws you over because you might be trying to get away and then you'll move to a different area where it will switch cameras and your controls will also switch accordingly which can make for a lot of deaths.The graphics are nice, the music adds to the atmosphere as well it's just not enough to pull me in. It's a cool premise for a game but it just doesn't seem to be executed well.I'm usually pretty liberal with games but unless you're DYING to play it, I wouldn't bother.Could have been a cool game dude.. Really cool idea, but bad, and i mean just awful execution. i feel bad. i REALLY wanted to like this game but it just ended up not working out. the death counter just makes it seem like its meant to be hard. i wouldnt know ill never finish it. again i wanted to like it but it just wasnt meant to be.. The controls are really bad.. You can't move the camera angle and you walk with the arrows on the keyboard. The ''Use'' button is ''S''. On the steam controller you walk with the arrows and the ''Use'' button on the controller is the joystick that you have to move around until its interracting with the item.
